Time to start!

To begin our exploration of the Outer Space, we’ll focus first on our location in the Universe:

-Where are we? What’s the name of our Planet?

-Is our planet alone out there? Are there other planets around it? Which ones?

-Is our solar system part of a galaxy? Which one?

-Is that the only galaxy in the universe? Can you mention some others?

Now that you have established our location… let’s have some fun learning about our Solar System!

Did you know some of these facts? What new information could you discover in this video?

Time for… INVESTIGATION!

Let’s do some more research about the place where we live.

In groups, you’ll read and summarise information you find in the following websites:

-First, read the basic information provided in Planets for Kids: click here.

-Then, access the NASA website to explore planets individually (each group will be assigned one): click here.

-While you read, make sure you take down notes using GoogleDocs!

-Finally, we’ll share some of your discoveries as a whole class.

On our following computing class, we’ll use a digital tool to present your research 😉
