Hi Kids! How are you today? Our GOAL for today is:

  • to Revise Comparatives.

Remember that last week we worked with comparatives? We compared the main characters in the story “Slower than the rest”.

  1. Now, Watch the following video about comparatives.

2. Grammar Focus

Remember! We use comparatives to compare things .

Add ‘-er’ and for one syllable adjectives. Add ‘-ier’  for two syllable adjectives which end in ‘y’ (and take away the ‘y’).

Use ‘more’’ with other two syllable (or more) adjectives.

Examples:

one syllable: small – smaller –

two syllables with ‘y’: happy – happier –

two+ syllables: beautiful – more beautiful –

3.. Written task.
