WRITING WEEK: Day 3

Yesterday, you started working on your first drafts. You had lots of interesting and very creative ideas!

Today, we will discuss some common mistakes, we will go over spelling, use of tenses, punctuation etc. to see how you can improve your pieces of writing.

Also, you wil assess your own work using the following CHECKLIST:

FINAL CHECKLIST:

  • The text has at least 4 distinguishable paragraphs. YES NO
  • in the introduction the situation of the lack of electricity is clearly explained YES NO
  • The text IS about life and technology.  YES NO
  • The problems are described clearly YES NO
  • There are possible solutions for each problem. YES NO
  • There is a logical and interesting conclusion. YES NO

Once you have completed the checklist and you have understood teacher’s corrections, you are ready to write your 2nd draft. GOOD LUCK!!
